THE CHARACTER OF LOVE 1..

The Bible talks a lot about the subject of love. This kind of Love is Agape (brotherly love). In a previous discourse, we shared about husbands loving their wives. The Bible further encourages the married couple to love one another..'Above all things have fervent love for one another for love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). PROPHECY AND REVELATION...THE TREASURY OF HAIL

God to Job...'Have you entered the treasury of snow, or have you seen the treasury of hail, which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war? (Job 38: 22-23)

And when do you think the day of battle and war is? your guess is as good as mine...It was revealed to the apostle John in (Revelation 16:21) 'And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great'

LAMENTATIONS 3:40

Any time we do wrong, our conscience pricks us and we know we have strayed from Gods way. So..

'Let us search out and examine our ways and turn back to the Lord' (Lamentations 3: 40)

For 'As I Live', says the Lord God, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and Live' (Ezekiel 33:11)

'HUSBANDS...LOVE YOUR WIVES'

I was at a men  fellowship some weeks back and we were sharing about the word in Ephesians (5:25) 'Husbands, love your wives just as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for her'. The Leader of the fellowship then asked a question to the assembly; 'To what extent should we as husbands love our wives'?..All the responses to the question asked were quite interesting but one of the responses was of particular note and i would like to share perhaps someone might find it valuable.

THANKSGIVING 2..'BUT WHERE ARE THE NINE' ?

There is a story in the bible about ten lepers who were cleansed by Jesus as he passed by Samaria and Galilee (see Luke 17:11-19). And it so happened that after they were cleansed only one returned to thank Jesus. And His response went thus; 'were there not ten cleansed, but where are the nine? were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner? And he said to him, 'Arise, go your way, your faith has made you well' (Luke 17:17-19)

Dear Brothers, it is our obligation as believers to always give thanks to the Almighty, for this is a demonstration of our faith in God.
