KNOW THE WORD..LIVE THE WORD..SHARE THE WORD 1

I believe that every Christian has three primary objectives or obligations and they are 1) To know the Word 2) To live the Word 3) To share the Word. Brethren Please take note that in this discourse, the word 'Word' will be used interchangeably For 'God' because we know from scripture that in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God (John1:1). So in other words, as Christians and believers, we are
to Know God; we are to Live our lives according to God's Standards in obedience to all his commandments and we are to bear witness to the Knowledge and works of God or share his Words with others. These three mandates are given to us from all over scripture, Lets start with the first; The Knowledge of God or the Word.

KNOW THE WORD

Do you Know God? Do you believe in His existence? If you can sincerely answer 'yes' to that question then you are Blessed. It is the desire of the Creator of the universe for men to know Him. Listen to what He says in (Hosea 6:6) ' For I desire mercy and not sacrifice and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings' also in (Hosea 6:3) He encourages us, 'Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord'. we can get to know God by studying His word in the Bible.

Unfortunately, some folks don't believe in the existence of God. Some see the believe in God's existence as 'ridiculous', 'without basis' or 'unreasonable'. This is a grand deception of the devil and a trap of the enemy. King David said in the psalms ' The fool has said in his heart, there is no God' (psalm 14:1) and (psalm 53:1).

The existence of God (The Father of Creation) is quite evident even in nature and in our every day living. Science has tried to propagate the lie of the devil by attempting to have an explanation for every single phenomena that occurs in our natural environment. However science has been unable to fully comprehend the complex nature of DNA. The subject of DNA offers a lot to suggest that surely God must exist. It was the issue of DNA that allegedly made Anthony Flew, a British philosopher and scholar convert from atheism to theism. Early in his career he argued that one should presuppose atheism until empirical evidence of a God surfaces taking the policy of Plato's socrates 'we must follow the argument wherever it leads'. However in his later career, life and inception of DNA technology, he was alleged to have said in a report; 'A deity or a super intelligence is the only good explanation for the origin of life and complexity of nature and i now realise that i have made a fool of myself by believing that there were no presentable theories of the development of inanimate matter up to the first living creature capable of reproduction'

If there is no God, how does one explain that though the entire earth's composition  is estimated  70% water and 30% Land, yet mankind still dwells safely on land and is not overwhelmed by the waters; though the rivers empty into the oceans yet they are not over filled and overflow their boundaries. We forget the words of the Lord in (Jeremiah 5:22) 'Do you not fear Me?' says the Lord. 'Will you not tremble at  my presence who have placed the sand as a bound of the sea? By a perpetual decree that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro yet they cannot prevail , though they roar yet they cannot pass over it'.

If there is no God, how can we explain the conception of life and the process of procreation? That a man meets with his wife and they bear fruit? How does the atheist or unbeliever explain the difference between the male and female reproductive organs and yet their compatibility. Is it a mere coincidence? But have we forgotten it was recorded in (Genesis 1:27-28) So  God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created Him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them and God said to them 'Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it'.

Brothers finally, Listen to the words of our Creator; 'Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches, but let him who glories, glory in this; that he understands and KNOWS ME, that I am the Lord exercising loving kindness, judgement and righteousness in the earth for in these I delight' says the Lord (Jeremiah 9: 23-24)

Peace
